Alessia is an experienced business and financial journalist with focus on lending, distressed debt, and real estate. She joined 9Fin from React News where, as a deputy managing editor, Europe, and finance editor she was instrumental in launching the European product and in leading a team of international reporters. For five years at Debtwire, she moved from being a reporter to developing and overseeing an NPL-focused product combining breaking news, data, and analysis, which tracked most NPL deals across Europe since 2015, for a total volume of almost €600bn. Previously, she worked in the U.S. and Europe the Wall Street Journal and the Commercial Observer. Alessia started her career covering the court in her hometown Padua for the local issue of Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera. She holds a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
