Welcome to part two of our list of nine deals that defined private credit this year. (You can find part one over here.)

Today, we have the big and the small, the debt and the equity, and the one that got away! All deals below rattled the headlines when they popped up on 9fin’s radar, but what lurked below the big numbers was the question of leverage. In some cases offering high leverage worked to persuade sponsors, in other case it didn’t.

Beyond that each deal was notable for raising issues beyond the raw numbers and came to serve as examples of the wider trends that hit the US private credit market this year.

But no list is complete without a sense that we’ve missed something. Boiling the year down to nine deals was not an easy task. So do get in touch to tell us what we’ve overlooked here at 9fin. We’d be more than happy to hear from you.

Otherwise, happy holidays from the 9fin team and we’re already excited to see what the next 12 months bring.
