CaixaBank is catching up with its Spanish peers as it prepares to price CaixaBank Consumo 7, a cash securitisation of unsecured consumer loans, having adapted its longstanding consumer ABS shelf for use as a significant risk transfer tool.

Arranger and sole lead manager Société Générale is expected to price the final few tranches of the transaction as early as today (Thursday).

A supranational agency has already spoken for the bulk of the notes, allowing CaixaBank to maximise the amount of capital it can free up with the debut offering, according to sources familiar with the deal.
