At the eleventh hour, an objection has been filed from a “Committee of Concerned Parents of Camp Lavi,” who put a $10m bid on the table — which represents a 14% increase over the current Ohel bid. The parents write in their letter that they did not know about the sale process “until after the sale process had been substantially concluded.” Beginning 6 August, the parents assembled to retain counsel, find the funds, file an objection, corral the support of creditors, and wage the war to keep Camp Lavi as its beloved self.
