Dry January? Try dry powder. LPs weren’t resting up with pensions pouring support to credit funds and $1.7bn allocations flowing to managers in the month. 

Ares, Aristotle, Arrow, Blackstone, Blue Owl, Cerberus, Chorus, Comvest, Golub, HPS, ICG, LBC, Magnetar, Oak Hill, OIC, Pantheon, Penninsula, SIH and Sixth Street (see table below) all sipped on success with mandates, board documents seen by 9fin reveal. 

And pensions are thirsty for more allocations to credit with RFPs and pacing resolutions disclosed, including one case of a pension fund losing weight from equity in favour of fixed income.
