One of America’s most venerable firms is being eyed up by some of Wall Street’s most notorious investors.
In its long history, corporate analytics provider Dun & Bradstreet has employed four future US presidents. It’s now an acquisition target for private equity firms including Clearlake Capital and Veritas Capital, according to 9fin sources.
The company has been fielding takeover interest since last summer, when Reuters reported it had hired Bank of America as an advisor. Its stock has risen nearly 20% since that initial report, with shares now trading around $12.31 for a $5.44bn market cap.
