9fin continues to expand its US distressed offering throughout 2024 with a series of recent hires to the distressed team.

Cat Corey is the latest to join us as a distressed legal analyst, bringing her wealth of expertise from her time at Debtwire, Norris McLaughlin and Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.

She joins the existing US distressed team, led by:

  • Max Frumes, formerly of LevFin Insights, also a recent addition to 9fin’s US distressed team
  • Kartikeya Dar, formerly of Houlihan Lokey
  • Larry Feldman, formerly of Debtwire
  • Rachel Butt and Max Reyes, both formerly of Bloomberg

“I’m thrilled to welcome Cat to the team as we continue to ramp up our distressed and restructuring coverage in the US, and especially our in-court coverage. There’s a huge appetite for news and insights in the US distressed space, and with Cat on board, we can make sure we continue to deliver best-in-class content to 9fin subscribers.”

In her previous role Cat led the global restructuring data team at Debtwire, and is an expert in restructuring and debt financing data analysis.

“I am excited to join 9fin and become part of their world-class US distressed team — I love writing about distressed debt and restructuring and am looking forward to producing market-leading content, while collaborating with other talent at 9fin to produce cutting edge tools that the fixed income world can’t live without.”
