It’s official — European leveraged loan volumes this year have smashed 2021’s issuance by a wide margin.
Issuers launched €192bn of loans into the European market in 2024, a whopping 31% above the €146bn printed in 2021.
Keen readers of our quarterly loan reports in the 9fin platform will be familiar with this year’s themes: not a lot of new money; shedloads of repricings, refinancings and A&Es; and the syndicated space stealing back market share from private credit funds.
